As featured today in Broadcast Magazine, Planet Sport is delighted to be launching a partnership with GFN to bring a new channel to YouTube called OnTrack GP.
GFN’s Robbie Lyle - the man behind Arsenal Fan TV and DR Sports - stated that the new F1 YouTube channel aims to "put the fans first" and "provide something different" for F1 enthusiasts.
He explained that the channel will offer watch-alongs, exclusive content and behind-the-scenes access to drivers and teams, as well as insightful analysis of races and qualifying sessions.
“F1 fans are some of the most knowledgeable sports fans around. We can’t wait to hear their views, reactions and banter. Naturally, I’ll be keeping an eye on Lewis Hamilton’s progress this year - let’s hope he can mix it with Verstappen and Leclerc on the podium in 2023.”
Mark Scott, Motorsport Editor at Planet Sport, also spoke about the partnership, stating: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Robbie and the GFN team to take PlanetF1.com’s Formula 1 coverage live and on-screen to both seasoned petrolheads and new audiences alike.”
The new F1 channel is an exciting development for both GFN and PlanetF1.com, as it creates a new platform for fans to engage with the sport. The new F1 channel will also offer sponsors and advertisers new opportunities to reach this passionate fan base.
Tim Satchell, managing director of publishing at Planet Sport, added: “We are excited to take PlanetF1.com’s first serious steps into video production and the YouTube platform in partnership with GFN, undoubted leaders in this area. Our Formula 1 expertise and existing online audience makes a great fit with GFN and their shared passion for Formula 1.”
F1 is a sport that is loved by millions of fans around the world, and Planet Sport believes there is a huge appetite for high-quality F1 content. Bring on the Bahrain GP and an exciting 2023 season…!
