Planet Sport’s flourishing betting and gaming brand, Planet Sport Bet, is galloping further into the podcasting world with the launch of a second podcast, Horse Racing On Another Planet.
Hosted by horse racing enthusiasts and social media personalities Liz Bachelor and Izzy Phillips, this new podcast is set to cover all the latest racing chat from on and off the racecourse. Horse Racing On Another Planet will also play host to guest spots from some of the sport’s biggest names, most notably Planet Sport Bet ambassador and championship-leading jumps jockey, Harry Cobden.
With Cheltenham Festival just around the corner, it’s the perfect time for racing and betting fans to join Liz and Izzy and their guests in celebrating all things racing.
Liz and Izzy’s ‘Hot Takes’ will dissect the week’s biggest racing news, before combing through the forthcoming big race entries for winners. Racing fans can get involved too by sharing comments on X (formerly known as Twitter), using the hashtag #HOAP as part of ‘Fans’ Corner’. Liz and Izzy will chat through the best tweets of the week on racing, the horses to be on the right side of, and the odd bit of racing gossip or whispers from the yards.
Both presenters are thoroughly devoted fans turned racing pundits.
Oxfordshire-based Liz Bachelor has been following racing ever since childhood, when she was taken to the local bookies’ shop by her dad and asked for her views on what selections should go into a Lucky 15. Legendary grey Desert Orchid’s extraordinary exploits sealed Liz’s love for the turf and nowadays she is a devotee of staying hurdler Dashel Drasher.
Meanwhile, Izzy Phillips developed a love of racing through countless days out as a child at the races with her father, uncle, and grandfather. Since joining Twitter, Izzy has connected with the wider racing tribe, and has gone on to present Raceday TV. Like Liz, she’s also a fan of long-distance hurdlers, with Paisley Park having her heart.
