Athletes of all ages and levels, along with coaches, administrators and volunteers right across Leeds were celebrated, including Ineos Grenadiers' cycling star Tom Pidcock MBE, Olympic Triathlon gold medallist Georgia Taylor-Brown MBE, 16-year old Leeds United starlet Archie Gray, and seven-time Paralympic champion Hannah Cockcroft MBE.

Amongst the more well-known stars of the night, the ceremony shone a light on some of the incredible dedication of some of the people across the city in involving their communities in sport. No exception were martial arts dojo Ichiban Leeds, who were the recipients of the 18+ Club/Team Participation Award, presented by Planet Sport's Andy Roberts.

Celebrated champion Leeds boxer Josh Warrington brought proceedings to a close with an star turn that paid emotional tribute to former Leeds Rhinos player Rob Burrow's fight against Motor Neurone Disease who was honoured with the Sporting Pride of Leeds Award.
